For twenty years the deal was simple. You picked a lane, you went deep in it, and you got paid for the depth. The network person did not touch the database, and the security person did not ship the code.
AI ended that deal, and not by replacing you. It let one person do the work of a whole row of lanes, and the person who can see across all of them is now worth ten who cannot.
What remains is the whole loop. You find how the thing breaks and you learn why it broke. You close the hole so the same break does not work twice. You ship the result to real users on real hardware, and you stand behind it.
That loop is one skill now, not three careers. It is the only thing we teach.
